The brighter side (3) MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9Mobile, Pepsi music stars may do like Andrea Bocelli

Acclaimed Italian opera singer, Andrea Bocelli sent a strong message to Italians and the rest of the world recently when he had a free live performance in an empty Milan Cathedral, in Lombardy. The performance, which was broadcast on YouTube was a lifting performance considering the despair and widespread heaviness coronavirus has left in its wake since it began its onslaught on Italians and the rest of humanity.

Bocelli hoped that through music, we would ‘hug this wounded Earth’s pulsing heart.’

The example of Andrea Bocelli is one that may be emulated by MTN, Glo, Airtel, 9Mobile and Pepsi music ambassadors and their giant telecommunication and beverage partners, in hosting free live performances from their homes, to ‘lift’ the spirits of Nigerians, especially with the ‘extension’ of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and FCT, announced by President Buhari two nights ago.

The mechanics of the proposed TWO WEEKS DAILY ONLINE SHOW is one that can be easily worked out by all interested partners, especially the ‘owners and controllers of data’ so that the rest of Nigeria may look away from despair, anger and restlessness to hope.
