So Nigeria’s passport is the 100th most powerful in the world?

Who said so and what’s the import of the news?

According to global citizenship and residence advisory firm, Henley and Partners in the Henley Passport Index: Q3 2022 Global Ranking, Nigeria ranked 100 along with Ethiopia because holders of Nigerian passports are allowed visa-free entry into 46 countries in the world.

And what do you want me to do with the information?

Are you not interested in the countries with the most powerful passports in the world? I thought you said you wanted to Japa?

Yes, I told you that before but I am not really bothered about the country; at this rate, any country will be just fine. I just want to get out; I want to Japa!

Japa? Mm. Do you know that fate might be playing a joke on you?

What do you mean? You want to Japa, right? Yes

Then you should know that the Japanese passport is the most powerful passport in the world. Holders of Japanese passports are allowed visa-free entry into 193 countries in the world.

That surely is something. Japa and Japan! Now you have my attention.

That means you should know that South Korea and Singapore are joint second most powerful passports in the world. Holders of South Korean and Singapore passports are allowed visa-free entry into 192 countries in the world.

Mm

Nigeria’s jollof-rice-flexing neighbour, Ghana is ranked the 82nd most powerful passport in the world because holders of Ghanaian passports are allowed visa-free entry into 65 countries.

Ok; they already prevented Nigeria from going to the World Cup in Qatar anyway

Don’t get on the petty lane

Wish you’d say that to our politicians and their supporters who are hoping to win with petty lies instead of substance.

My brother, I really wish substance would dominate the journey towards the 2023 elections especially because the guys at Henley and Partners have shown from their research the strong correlation between the strength of a country’s passport and peacefulness within the polity.
