The smart guy has seen something and he was gracious enough to call our attention to his discovery. Reading, listening to music and daydreaming are windows to worlds he had glimpsed. Many of those worlds are superior in many respects to the one we currently occupy. By spending more time in those worlds, he can see the kinds of bridges required to connect our world to some of those worlds. Mehn, the dude is up to something special.
