On the afternoon of Tuesday, 16th July, as I listened to OAPs Sholz and Ifeanyi Atama transmit through the airwaves their excitement over the news that Beyoncé would be working with Nigerian artists Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Mr Eazi in the music production for The Lion King movie, I remembered this conversation I heard about the lion king a long, a long time ago.

What made the lion king?

Was it the mane?

Was it the huge claws?

I don’t know

Was it the dread, stealth or size?

I don’t know

Music? Of course lions do not sing

Yes. Is the Lion of Judah so called because of his mane, teeth, claws, stealth or strength? He is called the Lion of Judah because he is leader of the praise pride. His roar is the highest praise.
