The movie is a metaphor for when a top marksman becomes tired of it all and chooses to opt out. It is a metaphor for when a fixer decides to walk away because he is tired. It doesn’t matter where the tiredness comes from. What matters is that someone who has helped some powerful persons maintain a system of control, dominion and oppression decides to walk away from it all, regardless of the consequences. This is not just anyone but somebody who is likened to the proverbial tree that makes a forest.
As the nation Nigeria navigates this unusual season with politics looming over everything else, all kinds of prayers, to God and to men, are being made.
