Might the engagement be different, if like Michele Obama, the NCDC focused on story instead of statistics?

I think so. For stories connect far more than statistics alarm. Stories kindle, arouse, stir feelings in us in ways that no statistics can. Stories animate us, shake us or even numb us in ways that no statistics can. Covid-19’s biggest badge of honour is its disruption of connected life as we once knew it. Does statistics come any where close when we contemplate how to connect or re-connect with one another?
