Late Premier of former Northern Nigeria and Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello once flew one of the aircrafts in the Premier’s fleet on a private visit to Sokoto.

When he returned to Kaduna, the Assistant District Officer, Alhaji Suleiman Gurin, sent him a bill for using official aircraft for private visit. He settled the bill promptly. And did not victimize Alhaji Gurin in any way.
