Trev came out of the miry clay. He could hardly stand straight for long because the land of his birth was mostly a slippery slope. Seeing his condition, Mungu took pity on him and lifted him from the miry clay. Suddenly, standing on solid ground, Trev was smitten by a new realization.
That he was raised out of the miry clay because he is such an irresistible being. One that is too special to be ignored. His attractiveness is peerless, he told himself further. Somehow within this body of realization was the strange idea that Mungu came to his rescue from the slippery slopes because Mungu could not do without him. And he believed the it. Yet he wondered why everything he put in his mouth tasted like gravel.
