Mosquito attacks as a guide: Beware of the Conditioned Response

Where you assume that mosquito bites are always preceded by the buzzing sound. What if the mosquito muted the sound but continued its bites? What would have changed? Would you no longer have malaria? Would you have more malaria or will you be free of malaria.

Now take this analogy into real life.
