Typically, victims are hunted, trapped, incarcerated, and or abused. Consequently, those who attempt to rescue them using constitutional means, easily become targets themselves, and potential hosts to fear and terror.
Marksmen are not cowards for the simple reason that ‘cowards die many times before their death’ (apologies Julius Caesar). When Liam Neeson said he didn’t ‘scare easily,’ it was his way of saying he’s not a host to fear or dread. He’s done his time with threats and its full measure of fears. He knew the customers sufficiently well from encounters in the trenches. Many victims already scare easily. Those seeking to rescue them must come one better. And the level of hope is proportional to whether the marksman scares easily or not.
